Youth Programs

At Mountainside we believe that no matter your age you can experience life with God - knowing His love for you, understanding what He says about who He is, who you are, and how to share life together.
In this hope, we’re excited to offer the following programs for children and teens.

Sunday Mornings

Sunday morning programs are offered for children during our 10am church service.
See class descriptions for when/where each group meets.

Nursery: ages 0-2

Location: Auditorium Main Floor
A safe place for our littlest attenders to be cared for while those who care for them full-time participate in the morning service.

2's + 3's Class:  ages 2-3

Location: Youth Center Room 2
Foundational Bible stories and songs with lots of playing for toddlers in their own space during the morning service.
Drop off at the beginning of service.

252 Kids: ages pre-k -3rd grade

Location: Youth Center Room 1
Based on Luke 2:52, "And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man." The class is designed to foster the same growth in early elementary children through Bible lessons, memory verses, and worshiping together.
Drop off at the beginning of service.

Pre-teen: ages 4th-6th grade

Location: Auditorium Downstairs
This group is designed to help pre-teens understand the over-arching narrative of the Bible and how their own story is woven in to God's plan for humanity.
The pre-teen growth group begins service in the auditorium with their families before being dismissed to their own lesson.

Sunday Evening

Sunday evening programs are offered 5:30-7pm each week late-September thru May.
Students can be dropped off at their group location.

Gopher Buddies: Pre-K + K

Located in the Youth Center
Gopher Buddies is for preschoolers ages 4-6, to develop their basic understanding of Scripture with a weekly lesson including scripture memory, music, games and teaching of daily bible reading at an age appropriate level.

Olympians: Grades 1-6

Located in the Youth Center
Envisioning the Christian life as a race, our Olympian program features the Olympic theme and urges children to “go for the gold” in their pursuit of godliness through  teaching spiritual disciplines of daily devotions, scripture memory and service to others with a weekly Bible lesson that includes small group interaction and good clean fun.

Echo 518: Grades 7-12

Located in the Mountainside Ministry Center
The Echo 518 Student Ministry is a grateful community of students and leaders. Our goal is to echo the message of Jesus to the 518! Acts 1:8 says “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere – in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth (NLT).” We do this through prayer, care and share. We pray for our friends and family who need Jesus. We strive to care for them, showing them the love of Jesus. And we look for opportunities to share the truth of the gospel with them. Our time includes games, worship, sharing time, bible study and small groups. We also love doing activities together. Sometimes they are just fun times to hang out and at other times they are focused on serving our community in some way including raking leaves or serving at the Adirondack Marathon. We welcome any and all 7th -12th graders to join us!
