What does the Share Shop offer?
The Share Shop offers gently used, clean clothing, outerwear, and accessories (shoes, belts, hats, purses, jewelry) for men, women, and children of all ages. A selection of seasonal items can also be found (winter coats, boots, hats, gloves; swimsuits; Holiday wear).
Bedding of all kinds is also available (comforters, blankets, sheet sets, pillow cases)
How much do items at the Share Shop cost?
There is a $3 fee for each large, 10 quart bag that is filled with items. The Share Shop's mission is to make clothing items accessible to all.
Only cash is accepted at this time.
What items can be donated to the Share Shop?
The Share Shop accepts donations of gently used, clean clothing of all types and sizes along with: accessories, shoes, and bedding. The Share Shop DOES NOT accept toys, household items, or bed pillows.
Those looking to donate toys, household items, or pillows may do so at the Chestertown Transfer Station where there is a swap store for donated toys and household items.
Are there limits on how many items can bought?
The Share Shop serves 8 area communities as a resource for affordable clothing, as such there are occasions when specific items in high demand with low inventory are limited to a certain number per visit.
The Share Shop operations depend solely on volunteers, at times unexpected closings may occur - your courtesy to those working is much appreciated.
